Sentence I never thought I'd hear

By Bea McManis

Sentence I never thought I'd hear: "She's the love of my life. How many times do I have to kill her??" - Bobby Singer (Supernatural)

Know someone who must be singing this song constantly right now.  lol.

Who Bea?
I thought it was appropriate for a situation I'm witnessing. Someone would like to eliminate a person from their life, but their lives are so intertwined that, short of killing the person, the chance of walking away is improbable.
Makes for a very sticky wicket.

I found this here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Singer:

“…He tells Dean before Meg's exorcism is complete that the soul of a demon's host stays inside the body and will remain even after the demon is exorcised, but since Meg fell seven stories out of the warehouse in "Shadow", the demon is all that holds her together…”

Wow! Then there’s the nice Kevin Bacony guy and a yummy muscle car. Definitely something worth checking out.

Thanks, Bea. :)

Julie,
When put into a real life situation, like the one I'm watching, the "demon" is the person who was the "love of his life".
As in fiction, affection fades and he is on to greener pastures, but he can't get rid of her because she is still part of his soul.
Unfortunately, the next victim is already picked and will also find that the fire of "true love" soon turns to ashes.
I wrote that, this morning, after listening to the wailing and gnashing of teeth over someone who will never grow up.

Bea, that’s a fascinating premise…especially the way you presented it.

It makes me think of Wuthering Heights. I think Heathcliff considered Cathy a kind of demon who haunted him throughout his life, as he haunted her. However, your real life scenario seems to be one-sided.

There are, of course, two sides. She was blind sided by his change of heart, ergo the gnashing and wailing this morning.
I have never known someone who poured out as much love and affection for someone as she did. In a victorian novel, you could say she was spurned. He expects her to turn it off as easily as he, and that is difficult to do.
The fly in the ointment is that they work closely together. They are together every day (thus, the demon that is with him).
The saga continues. It isn't over yet. I'm not sure which side I'm rooting for. Both are nice people caught in a difficult situation.
