A fire is reported at an apartment building at 42 Spencer Court in the City of Batavia. The possible structure fire is reported to be in an end building and there is some traffic congestion due to people trying to leave the scene or move their cars.

UPDATE (9:58 p.m.): The smoke is said to be coming from a BBQ grill and fire units are back in service.

Trust me... as a firefighter,
Trust me... as a firefighter, I would like to see more people trying to get out of the way. Was called to a possible structure fire in an apartment complex on Tuesday evening. All cars were still in place, people in affected building were still in their apartments... People on the other side of the complex even brought out their lawn chairs expecting to 'see a show'.
It can be very frustrating trying to work around a group of civilians that gather around to watch, and dont realize they are in the way. At least these people were smart enough to attempt to get out of the way in case it had been something significant.
