Weather: Sun on Sunday, snow on Monday

By Howard B. Owens

Sunday should bring some sun, with highs hitting 31. Enjoy it while you can. There's an 80-percent chance of snow on Monday afternoon. While Monday's temperature could hit 35, winds might top out at 35 mph.

We can look forward to highs in the mid 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday with some chance of rain or snow showers, and maybe some patches of snow.

that's not just any ordinary silo - that is the Woodward tower. it was built in 1926 by Mr. Earl Seeley of LeRoy as a party house for Donald Woodward, one of four sons of Orator Woodward (the Jell-O guy).

The Woodward Tower was also used as a turning pylon for the air races conducted by Donald Woodward. The other end of the measured course was the hangar tower at the airport (Present LeRoy Highway Department Garage). It was a measured and certified course, or so I have been told. Cocktails were served to guests who had eye-level views of the racing planes banking around them.
