It shouldn't matter what we believe. Innocent until! I'm no fan of Collins but the media will be smacking this pingpong ball back and forth to where a fair trial will be near impossible. As a supporter of Trump, he is in the crosshairs of many political opponents. Also, Schumer has indicated that the intelligence community has "six ways to Sunday" of getting back at our President for Trump's failure to fall in line with said communities "dictates." See:
Watch "Chuck Schumer: Intelligence Community will get their revenge." on YouTube
A Rochester area radio blah blah has dedicated a large portion of 3 different shows in the last 2 days to making Collins resign. And this clown claims to be a flag waving American, and a Republican! LOL! With the atmosphere in politics being as insanely vitriolic as it is, we need to be very careful to be sure to adhere to our countries true "First Lady", Lady Justice! Who carries with her our constitution. At all times!!
Our national justice system is packed with criminals! Do you think NYS justice system is any better? I don't know but let's put it in a jury's hands.

Little james comey --- barack & hillary 's homey --- having bent over backwards to see things --"right" --- must feel deep shame for his --- "decided" failure --- to stand tall & fight the good fight--now this bend over spineless form --- acquiescing to beelzebubs norms, will forever be viewed as the one who eschewed his oath to stop such political porn. Little james comey seemed a stand up guy -- straight and tall when he offered his arm -- to guide Madam Justice who is willingly blind -- to see that she'd come to no harm -- at the 1st sign of trouble over backwards he doubled using his charge for shield -- like the littlest of men refusing to fend for our only True First Lady --- and her ideals. His FBI with such sordid past is now bound for the scrap heap pile - with Little james comey -- being the "man" who Shepherded our True First Lady -- Lady Justice -- her last mile.

I voted undecided. But I'll still vote for Mr. Collins. That's what you're trying to impose here anyway. I won't vote for his opponent and his liberal ideals. Just putting that out there.

Congressman Chris Collins was guilty of securities fraud (insider trading) involving Innate Immunotheraputics from the early stage, even before the stock spiked. Innate was involved in the development of a drug to combat MS. Collins was the largest stock holder in Innate and also sat on the Board of Directors of Innate. At the same time Collins was instrumental in writing and passing the 21st Century Cures Act legislation... he authored 3 key provisions of the legislation.

Section 3021, which encourages the broader application of innovative clinical trial designs, including the use of Bayesian statistics and adaptive trials, to enhance and accelerate effective clinical trials. These changes to the way the FDA approves clinical trial designs will help unleash new, groundbreaking therapies by allowing researchers to efficiently change their trials to meet the individual responses of their participants.

Section 3071 will expedite and improve the drug approval process by increasing the number of senior biomedical researchers the FDA is allowed to hire and also making the salary of those individuals more competitive with private industry. This will help ensure that our best and brightest scientists will remain with the FDA to review and approve drug applications, and get cures to patients more quickly.

Section 9023, in collaboration with Congressman Joe Courtney, which allows child and adolescent psychiatrists to participate in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program. This will incentivize these sub-specialists to begin their practices in underserved areas, like those in rural Western New York.

It's obvious the benefit the 21st Century Cures Act legislation would provide to Innate's R&D.

At the time he 21st Century Cures Act passed [House - Nov 2016, Senate - Dec 2016] and became law, Innate Immunotheraputics stock was at bouncing around $5.60-$8.00/share. Knowing the likely benefit the 21st Century Cures Act would provide Innate Immunotherapeutics, Collins passed on a tip to family and close friends and associates to buy Innate stock and by Jan 20, 2017 the price had spiked to $15.90/share... ! The insiders tipped off by Congressman Collins up-to doubled their money [and I'm sure some took profits at the peak]. Collins being on the BoD of Innate was privy to the fact that the research trials for their MS drug was a failure, and he illegally and unethically passed on another tip to family and friends to sell quickly before the news was publicly announced. On June 22, 2017, Innate Immunotherapeutics announced that the MIS416 clinical trials undertaken to evaluate its efficacy in managing secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS) had "failed". By June 20, 2017 Innate's stock had plunged to $.62/share. Those insider family and friends were spared losing everything, while many other investors lost huge.

Brian, I can appreciate that you're convinced of what you say. Convincing you is the DA's job. It seems that to too many in the media, it is also their job! You state many activities by the accused as though they are proven fact, when they are nothing... nothing but allegation! Collin's lawyers would drop him in a heartbeat if he were to take up the media's challenge to litigate the case in the media! God, I can't believe how corrupted the minds of Americans are. Innocent until proven guilty is not a slogan! It's not a campaign promise. It's a basic tenant of our countries foundation. A country of laws. If you were accused, the shoe would be on the other foot. As it would for every single person of like mind. Hipocracy.

The poll question is whether we *believe* he engaged in insider trading. I voted yes, as everything I've read declared he had the opportunity and now with people around him conveniently timing their trades - well, I believe it was a bit much of a coincidence.

Now, is he guilty? That will be determined by a trial - not be published reports.
