Looks like our 21 drinking age had nothin to do with this weeks stuff. Only one was 20 and that one looks like one of those mysterious "over the center line" stops, with BAC over .08. (I never liked the .08 as being intoxicated.)
If law enforcement continues at this rate, and we continue to reap the fines, we might get out of financial trouble. You'd think someone would get the message.
I am still troubled by some of these idiots driving drunk with no or revolked licenses anyways. I think we need special licence plates issued to the special cases where they have revolked,or no license.( because of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs). And they must surrender their present plates until their revolkation or suspension has ended.

Fred, how are they supposed to get license plates if their license has been suspended or revoked? I'm confused. A person can't register a vehicle if they have no valid drivers license. A suspended license is returned after a given time period. A revoked license is gone for good.

Doug, Thanks for the questions. I am not an expert, but I believe that if your Drivers License is revolked or suspended, you still have plates on your vehicle. They are not surrendered.
I read about folks arrested all the time for diving with a suspended or revolked Drivers License, Or even NO LICENSE at all.... And I'm not sure you are correct about needing a valid Drivers License to register a Vehicle.... But it could be. But registrations are now good for two years. Maybe they should surrender their plates.
Thanks again

Here is my DMV storey of the year. I'll try to shorten it up. I decided to get an enhanced Drivers License. My original Birth Certificate from 1947 did not have a raised stamp on it, so I sent the 30 bucks to Albany and got one. I went to the Batavia DMV/ Stood in line at the start, got the proper forms to fill out. Got back in line. Went over my papers with DMV person, had eye exam and pictures, got a number, and sat for another 25 minutes. Got called up to a window, only to find out that my Social Security card that I've used for 50 years is not valid. I have used this same card for all my employment, my Draft Physical, my enlistment in the US Navy in 1966, and even signing up for my Social Security Check thatI have been receiving. But Monday the the Batavia DMV is was NO GOOD. I needed to go to the SS Office and get a new card or if I happened to have a copy of a W2 form that would be OK?? In addition I also needed to rovide two proof if residence. My RG&E bill was no good because it had the residence away from my mailing address which was a PO Box. My One Bank statement was No good because it had Street instead of Road, My one check stub was No good because it was over 120 days old. I didn't know it had to be in the past 120 days.?? Anyways I was a little ticked off. Why didn't anybody tell me this stuff when I got there? Why did they notice all this stuff when I had my papers they went thru my stuff when I got there. Why did they wait until I sat there almost a total hour. Why do I need this at ALL. I've lived her 62 years for gosh sakes. I've gone to Canada for years and probably crossed the border 200 times or more. I am not a Terrorist!!! But Monday at the Batavia DMV I was treated like I was one. WHY, because we live in New York, and they need the money. It has nothing to do with National Security, it's all about money. They should .(never mind, I'm just going to say something I shouldn't about our wonderful DMV.. Thanks I feel better!!
