Today's Poll: Is 'The Sopranos' the best TV series ever?

By Howard B. Owens
Daniel Palmer

The story of Gandolfini's sudden death is less than 24 hours old. The first poster couldn't wait to throw his cynical and quite honestly, disrespectful 2 cents in on this board. That makes me sick to my stomach. Shame on you, pal.

Soprano's was an amazing series, and Gandolfini was one of the finest actors of our time.

Gary your picture sucks. It was a good show. Not the best, but like others mentioend above I crack the DVD's out and watch it front to back every so often. Can anyone really agree upon which show is best? It's apples to oranges to me. There are comedies like The Office which are great. One of my favorites. Better than The Soprano's? You can't really compare. Two different shows. Shameless, Breaking Bad, Homeland, Dexter are also great shows still currently on. Questions like this poll will never get "the answer."

I am glad I live in America where I have freedom of speach regardless of it offending anybody (even when I am sarcatsic - which I may or may not have been in my 1st post!)!

and what is the "cool off" period before I can "throw his cynical and quite honestly, disrespectful 2 cents in"?

Your constitutional rights give you freedom to troll as you wish. Break TOS, however, and you may find your right to speak freely on this site will be diminished.

I trust that as long as I am not name calling of being "overly offensive" (e.i. racial slurs) I will continue to have the right of freedom of speach here!
(what is TOS ? )

Sorry, but that honor goes to M*A*S*H. Comedy/Drama done well!

Never had any interest in watching the Sopranos. Seeing as there is (at this posting) a 3 to 1 ratio voting "no" or "never seen", the results are pretty clear.

Gary.... No one in any way limited your constitutional right to freedom of speech. However you and Jason are very sadly deluded if you think that right also means you are immune to hearing other peoples thoughts and reactions to your excercising that right. The sooner you realize that the sooner you will realize the "Free Speech" is almost as ignorant as the sarcastic comment (Directed more at Jason than Gary as he jumps at every opportunity to throw that argument out, and I am getting used to Gary's sense of humor LOL)

Gary, settle down. You can obviously say anything you want and use creative spelling in the process. Nobody's trying to stifle your sarcasm. The fact is, you jumped on here and, in my opinion, abused your freedom by disrespecting a man that has been dead for less than 48 hours. I don't care if it was a fictional mob boss; it could have been anyone.

TOS - terms of service. most websites with discussion forums or public comments have them. they are the rules.

Kyle - I think you're misunderstanding my post. The main thrust of what I was saying is that Gary is trolling. I fully understand how free speech works. Thanks for your concern though. :D

Kyle FREE SPEECH does not include exemption from criticism or retort to posted sarcasm. Anyone can pretty much make any statement they want, they should just realize that those who disagree with or find what someone says as offensive, in turn is allowed that same freedom of speech to state that.

No one that I saw on this thread said anything outside of their right to say as far as I saw.

The best series since " DALLAS". "SOPRANO'S had great writers, super directors, and producers and great actors. Mr. Galdolfini will be missed, not only for the "Soprano's, but for all the roles he played......great actor.

Everyone has a right to free speech. If Gary wants to use that right to prove his ignorance time and time again, so be it. Gary, please explain what you disliked about the show. Also, your pic does indeed suck. It's proof of the old adage," consider the source".

If you re read my comment Mark thats just what I said.

OOOOps I did see the error though the word argument was not included after the "Free Speech"
