Local Democrats join in denouncing Collins continued support of Trump

By Howard B. Owens

Press release:

The eight Democratic county chairs of New York's 27th Congressional District unite to denounce Donald Trump's demonstrated sexist and vulgar attitudes toward women and Rep. Chris Collins' continued support of Trump's candidacy in the face of blatant proof that Trump's attitudes are demeaning and derogatory toward 51 percent of this country and this district.

While Republican leaders and elected officials throughout the nation are abandoning Trump in droves, Chris Collins has asserted, "There is no change in my support of Mr. Trump as our nominee."

To be clear, Mr. Trump bragged about repeatedly committing sexual assault without consequence because he was a "star." That Collins did not join his colleagues who have concluded that Trump is unfit and unqualified to be president casts grave doubt on Collins' judgment and ability to represent all of the voters, especially the women, of the 27th District.

We hope that the many people offended by Mr. Collins' lack of spine in standing up to his party's nominee will join us in supporting Diana Kastenbaum for Congress.

I really wonder how these people can denounce Trump for his "Crass" comments, but they have absolutely no problem supporting a Liar, who would be in prison if she was anyone else. Including these same people who are railing against Trump! This level of hypocrite behavior demonstrates just how out of touch the Liberals are! It all comes down to choosing between someone who has said terrible things, or someone who has DONE terrible things! Whatever you all are smoking or drinking, put it down, grow up, and remember how many stupid things you have probably said privately, when there wasn't a "Hot Microphone" around!

This continued elitist attitude is why I will pull the handle for Trump! One day these career politicians will realize they are the reason Trump has made it as far as he has. We are sick and tired of the double standard! Our eyes are wide open and we are watching you very carefully, you are either with the voter or protecting yourself, chose wisely!

No news that Democrats are against a Republican candidate. What is news is all the Republicans that are against Trump. It's nice to see there is something some politicians can agree on :)

hi bruce, for the record, I have never in my life sexually assaulted anyone. I have never in my life boasted about sexually assaulting anyone.
hi Shannon, the career Politician is bought and paid for by the businessman with the most money. if the politician can not be bought, their respective party drops them like a bad habit and they go back to where they came from. this is America, this is the way it has been, this is the way it is, this is the way it will always be.
hi the rest of you, go and vote, just because some one does not agree with you and your views does NOT make them stupid, it also doesn't mean you are any smarter. got to be careful riding that high horse, you may get knocked off and land down here with the rest of us.

Democrats have forgotten Clinton, FDR and the Kennedys. Their mistresses in and out of the white Housr supersedes whatever trump said.

No Candace it does not supersede anything.

What Trump said is he abuses women, kissing without asking and groping, again with out permission, is very wrong, in fact it is a crime.

Having a mistress or many in some cases, is also wrong, but it is not a crime and both adults are consenting. It is ok not to vote for someone because they have been unfaithful to a spouse.

What is so sad is the type of abuse Trump was talking about is so rampant that many people think it is a behavior to be tolerated. It is not. It is abuse. There is no way to justify this or having a mistress the white house. What is nice in Trumps case is we know about it before he is elected and can do something about it.

Pretty interesting how our Vice President "crazy ole Uncle Joe" can grope, touch, kiss, etc., women without their permission AND even does it on live public TV at events and appearances. Not one of the main stream bought and paid for "news" networks have a negative thing to say about that, in fact, they air it, laugh about it and think it's just the funniest, cutest thing. Not that there are any double standards mind you. Oh, and by the way, I can't seem to recall, to use a phrase Hillary loves, just how many deaths is Donald Trump responsible for, and, how many classified government documents has he jeopardized? Soon we should change the name of this Country from the United States of America to the "Poor Innocent Little Snowflake Capital of the World". And exactly why is it that anyone should be worried about offending women? Thanks to Obama(nation) and his merry band of morons, gender is no longer an issue, universal bathrooms, etc., being gender sensitive is now offensive thanks to this Administration, remember? Asshats!

Returning to planet Earth, let's give Alex Jones a moment to regain his composure, and Hannity some time to collect his over-taxed imagination. And Chris Collins some time to hide. But then again I'm reminded -- delighted to recount, in fact -- the old political axiom, sometimes attributed to Napoleon:

‘Never interfere with an enemy while he’s in the process of destroying himself.’

Party on, Trumpers!

For myself, I'll seek representation by voting for our own local grass-roots candidate, from right here in Batavia NY. A civic leader, a local business woman who pays taxes and meets a payroll, Diana Kastenbaum, for 27th New York's 27th congressional district.

Rick Hensel.
There are (quite possibly) living "victims" in the "Pool".

Of course, nowadays, I guess the only items that seem to "stick" are the ones caught on video/audio. -- You know, like someone who might claim (on video) to run across the tarmac to avoid enemy sniper fire (when it didn't happen).

So, I guess people aren't to believe accusations from people such as, Eileen Wellstone, Juanita Broaddrick, Dolly Kyle, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Gennifer Flowers, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Sally Perdue, Lencola Sullivan and Connie Hamzy (because "it" wasn't recorded on audio/video).

Too bad cellphones and/or miniature recording devices have only become mainstream in the last decade or so. Otherwise, the (obscure?) name, Clinton, might have only been known to the American people because of the Erie Canal.

lol at the trump lovers and hillary haters.

thanks much for the amusement.

a large part of the reason hillary is as unpopular as she is, is because of a long running series of attacks by republicans against her. in the benghazi inquisitions one of the republicans flat out admitted the purpose of the hearings was to harm her politically. these attacks have been happening for a very long time because she has been a prominent player in politics for a very long time. she's still standing, which means she's a pretty tough person. she's been a valedictorian during college, a successful lawyer (maybe not such a good thing), a first lady, a senator, a secretary of state, and soon will be a president. the arguments she's accomplished nothing and is incompetent are patently ridiculous. yeah, she's a career politician. she's a symbol of the status quo. marks against her that are perfectly understandable. but she's also far more qualified to be commander in chief than tRrump, or just about anybody else for that matter.

with that said;

Yes, Mr. Heininger.

I remember when Hillary was my (supposed) state senator. Come to think of it, that was when she lied to me, and, to every other NY'er (both the ones that voted for her, as well as the ones that didn't).

To me, that fact, alone, tells all I need to know about her.

I look at it like this. I could care less if the local barber lies about how much money he won in a poker game. What do I care about something like that?

Likewise, I wouldn't care if, say, I owned a company, and one of my employees lied, straight to my face, or to anyone else, about how many fish he caught. After all, I'm just his/her employer. His lie, in the "fish tale", doesn't have anything to do as an employee representing my company.

But, if such an employee were to lie to me (or to anyone else), while acting as a "representative" of me/mine, he/she would be an ex-employee.

I'm not going to say Trump doesn't lie. And, I'd certainly never say I was a "Trump-lover". Truth is, I find it hard to believe that one person could put their foot in their own mouth so much, and still have teeth.

But, I will state that Mr. Trump has never lied "as an employee/representative" of mine.

I can't say the same for Hillary Clinton.

As my state senator, she lied to me, and, to millions of her constituents. Don't ask me why. I can only think that it was to, possibly, look like a "hero", or some "big, brave" person, who "ran across the tarmac to avoid the sniper fire" - again, it didn't happen.

As my (and, your) Secretary of State, she lied to us (you, me, and her other 360-million other "constituents"). More than once. All while, supposedly, working for me.

I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw a Cadillac.

THAT'S the difference!

I hear you Ed, it will be truly wonderful to actually vote for a candidate for president some day and not feel like I need to vote against the lesser of two evils.

To do that we as a community need to act as a group, vote for our interests local and build a bipartisan political structure. What we have now is far to partisan to succeed and we are seeing the death throws now.

Lets turn it around, don't insult your neighbor, find the common ground build and work from there. It is not them against us.... It is all us in the USA.

Of course, James, you have to also consider this:
If I'm not mistaken, only 26 states and the District of Columbia, "require" the Electoral College "Electors" (the people that ACTUALLY elect the president) to vote for the person that the voters from their state chose. In the other 24 states, I believe the "Electors" can choose whatever candidate they want. To me, that's a problem.
