My boyfriend and I live right around the corner from here. We are constantly being nearly hit. Everyone thinks that they can pass at that intersection, but it is illegal and unsafe! I can't even count the number of times that I have nearly been hit or have seen someone hit there. Many times, I have waited at the yellow light across from another driver who was also waiting, to turn left, as car after car after car passed us on the right hand side. There are near accidents there multiple times a day. I requested on several occasions after nearly being t-boned that the Sheriff's office patrol the area, but I have NEVER seen an officer near there. I even sent a letter and full diagram of the illegal and constant traffic infractions that occur there, to the town of Stafford. I received an e-mail back, that there was nothing that can be done. PUT UP A SIGN THAT SAYS NO PASSING. I can guarantee, as a local resident, that one day... our car will be t-boned there as well. That intersection is awful and something needs to be done, before somebody dies!!! Not after!!! Stafford, get yourself together and put in a sign. I have asked you so many times, or I will be out there with one!!!

If whoever was hit sees this.... comment back.... so I can send you the information of my attempts to have a sign put in.... so that you can sue them for endangerment by not taking care of a massively complained about intersection.

I just received confirmation from the Genesee County Sherrif's Office that the Town of Stafford Highway Superintendent did not forward the concerns of mine and others, or my letters, to the NYSDOT. A meeting was held in March 2017, and again in June, to address this intersection. A study is likely to be ordered, in regards to this situation, but may take 6-8 months before it can begin. They will be in contact. I am ecstatic to find that local residents who have seen these warning signs every day are now being heard. Something must be done before someone is injured again and/or killed at this intersection. Too many people don't understand this type of intersection and are causing unsafe driving conditions.
