Meet Me At The Fair -- Gail Argetsinger at HLOM
Gail Argetsinger, an associate professor and resident costume designer at The College at Brockport, will be speaking on what clothing might have been seen at the World's Fair in St. Louis, Mo., in 1904. "More than 19 million people flocked to the World’s Fair in St. Louis in 1904. The attendees represented a cross section of society and occupations, and it was reflected in their dress. This presentation will focus on the apparel that would have been seen on the fairgoers, how the aesthetics of the period and fabric/ fashion technology informed those fashions." This event is only $3 per person and $2 for musuem members and begins at 7 p.m.
