See and learn: Perseid Meteor Shower at GC Park & Forest, must pre-register

Get a front row seat for nature’s best late night show of the year at Genesee County Park & Forest! Watch for fireballs, shooting stars and glowing streaks in the sky as the Perseid Meteor Shower approaches its peak on Friday, Aug. 12th from 9:30 to 11 p.m. at the Genesee County Park & Forest Interpretive Nature Center. Learn all about this annual cosmic fireworks show and hear the stories behind summer’s constellations. Bring a blanket or a chair to find your spot in the meadow, far away from city lights and closer to nature’s wild, wonderful beauty. Pre-registration is required, call 585-344-1122.
