Snow in LeRoy on April 7, 2009
I stopped in LeRoy today and spotted this scene and snapped a quick pic -- snow in LeRoy in April.

I like the two tacky pink flamingos by the lady of liberty. So Americana, so incongruous with snow. But, heh, this is Western New York.

LOL, I caught a 30 inch Northern Pike right behind the statue. There are some Lunkers in there.

I always thought that was THE Statue of Liberty when I was a kid.

Howard-let me share with you....although snow is always unwelcome in April, it is not all that uncommon. As a matterof fact, Mothers Day of 87 or 88, we had a snowfall after the previous weekend was 80 degrees. That's why we love WNY..the weather and the taxes!

Mother Nature's last kick in the butt before Winter exits the stage. At least we had a brillent March.

Billie, call Lynne Belluscio at the LeRoy House. There is an interesting story behind the flamingos.
