Jack Davis issues statement on threatened government shut down

By Howard B. Owens

Press release from the Jack Davis campaign:

Washington politicians are bickering like children. It’s another example of how both parties have failed us. They are doing nothing to put Americans back to work, which is essential to balancing the budget and securing Social Security for seniors.

Right now, about 56% of Americans over the age of 16 are gainfully employed. If that percentage rises to 64%, then the budget deficit disappears entirely. If the Washington politicians took the budget deficit seriously, they’d be focusing on increasing the number of jobs for Americans instead of shipping our jobs overseas.

Both parties continue to push trade deals like NAFTA that have destroyed our economy and our childrens’ future. Both parties continue to spend valuable tax dollars around the globe instead of putting Americans first.

We need to bring our troops home from places like Germany and Italy that have not seen hostilities in more than a half a century. We need to end our endless wars in the Middle East. We need to stop giving money to every country on Earth. We need to create American jobs and put tariffs on China’s unfair imports.

The money saved from doing these things would solve the problems that Washington politicians use to threaten a shut down.

We need people in Congress who will stand up to the special interests that control both parties, and who will fight for what’s right for America.

C. M. Barons

Jack Davis thinks fixing the deficit is the responsibility of "Americans over the age of 16...gainfully employed?"

For Jack's information, it was Wall Street (banks) and the American Corporate elite (lay-off kings) who broke it (along with the willing complicity of politicians). Why should some 16 year-old-kid trying to earn enough cash for an XBox shoulder fixing the economy?

These greedy bastards won't be happy until 1% of the country owns 99% of everything.

There is going to be some serious backlash. I can taste it in the air. The boulder has been pushed beyond the limit and Sisyphus faces defeat and frustration once again. I hope for change, I have enough dollars for now but who the heck knows when sanity will prevail again.

End the trade, industrial, and immigration policies that have crippled the long term prospects for American prosperity is what Jack Davis has been working for. Change those policies and you change our country for the better.

Jack Davis has been a long time champion of ending treaty agreements that have led to the export of industries and the wholesale loss of good paying jobs. Jack Davis has a track record of job creation and of keeping those jobs right here in America. Take a look around Western New York at the vacant lots and abandoned industrial sites, then take a look at where they have gone and the tax breaks and incentives both Republican and Democrats have given those industries to move off shore. Jack Davis represents a real choice in the upcoming special election to replace the disgraced Republican Representitive Chris Lee.

You can choose the Republican whose experience at job creation is at best a questionable claim, she is an Albany insider who represents the special ineterests fo those who have gotten our country to where we are at present. The Democrat who has made a successful career of local elected politics. Jack Davis offers an idependent voice and will not be obliged to bow down to the wishes of either party or their leadership. Electing Jack Davis will bring change.

Jack Davis won't visit anywhere if he can avoid it. In his previous campaigns, has stated that he doesn't see why he should have to interact with actual people when they can just hear about his positions through television ads.

Expect Davis to 'visit' Batavia via Time Warner Cable.

Howard, Jack isn’t coming to town until it’s sunny and all those pot holes are fixed up. He would never risk getting his fancy vintage car dirty. But then again, there are migrant workers in Batavia during the summer and we all know Jack don’t like Mexicans.
