Michael L. Klinkbeil Sr.

Batavia - Mr. Michael L. Klinkbeil Sr., 74, of Batavia, died Monday, (April 5, 2010)at Buffalo General Hospital.

Mr. Klinkbeil was born July 3, 1935 in LeRoy, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Schwoch) Klinkbeil.

Mr. Klinkbeil was a truck driver at Falcon Transportation in Buffalo.  He was a pilot for twenty years with the United States Army.  During his time in the service, he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.  Mr. Klinkbeil was a member of the Masons, Elks, VFW, American Legion and the Quiet Birdman.  

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline (James) Greene of Rochester; two sons, Wayne (Traci) Klinkbeil of Orlando, Florida and Michael (Theresa) Klinkbeil Jr. of Rochester; grandchildren, Joseph, Jonathan, Tayler, Jordan, Mollie and Matthew; two brothers, Clarence (Helen) Klinkbeil and William (Rachael) Klinkbeil, both of LeRoy and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Klinkbeil; a son James Klinkbeil; a sister and several brothers.  

Calling hours are Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be at 2:00 also on Thursday.  Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery.
