Patricia "Patti" Lynn Riner

Mrs. Patricia “Patti” Lynn Riner, of Batavia died August 14, 2016 at Rochester General Hospital. She was born December 7, 1954, a daughter of Robert V. Call Jr. and the late Lorinda Terry Call. She is predeceased by her brother Robert V. Call III; her father-in-law Paul J. Riner; and a special family friend Helen “Nanny” DePetro.

Mrs. Riner graduated from Oakfield-Alabama High School in 1973 and Otterbein College in 1977. She was partner with her cousins Nathan, Peter, and Philip Call of My-T Acres, Inc of Batavia. The family farm, which was founded by her grandparents and then operated by her father and late Uncle Richard C. Call, has grown in a half-century to be one of the largest farms in New York State. Mrs. Riner was an advocate for women in agriculture. Mrs. Riner was an avid supporter of Dove Missions helping improve the lives and futures of children at risk and in crisis in the Dominican Republic. She was a two time breast cancer survivor and provided support and encouragement to many others. She was a board member of the Batavia Zonta Club, and as membership chair empowered and connected women. She was an active member of Northgate Free Methodist Church, and she loved working in her flower gardens and giving her beautiful bouquets.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Dan “Pudgie” Riner; her daughters, Abbie R. (Chris) Bellamy, and Molly M. (Dale) Kotarski, and son Bradley D. Riner; six grandchildren Erica M. Kotarski, Matthew G. Kotarski, Helena M. Kotarski, Brayden V. Kotarski, and Harrison C. Bellamy; three sisters Catherine (Thomas) Desautels, Susan Call, and Elizabeth (James) Riner; two brothers Timothy (Dawn) Call, and Steven (Deborah) Call; mother-in-law Luan Riner; sister-in-law Sue Riner; brothers-in-Law PJ (Ruth) Riner and Michael (Alison) Riner; sixteen nieces and nephews; many children from around the globe she has opened her home and heart for; and her Big Happy Family.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 4:00-8:00PM and Friday August 19, 2016 4:00-8:00PM at Northgate Free Methodist Church 8160 Bank St., Batavia, New York 14020. A 10:00AM Celebration of her life will be held at Northgate Free Methodist Church on Saturday August 20, 2016.
