George W. Taylor, Jr.

Bergen - George W. Taylor, Jr., 74, of Bergen, passed away on Thursday (September 22, 2016) at the New York State Veteran's Home in Batavia.

George was born May 16, 1942 in Wheatfield, a son of the late George W. and Mary (Isaacs) Taylor, Sr.

A veteran, he served with the United States Coast Guard.  George was the owner of Memories in Warsaw and along with his wife owned Taylor's in Bergen.  He also worked at H & R Block and eventually prepared taxes independently.  George loved music and was a former mason.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Coppola) Taylor of Bergen; his children, Christina Kennan of Florida, Sherri (Joseph) Morris of North Carolina and George W. Taylor III of Florida; two step-children, Pamela (Mike) Barber of South Carolina and Benjamin (Beth) Farnsworth of Arizona; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is a brother of the late Al Taylor and Carol Granger.  

Calling hours are Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen.  Services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the conclusion of calling hours also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
