East Bethany - Stephanie Colantonio, 97, of East Bethany, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home.

She was born November 23, 1918 in Herne Westfalen, Germany a daughter of the late John and Mary Wozniak.

Her family came to the United States in 1922, settling on the family farm where Stevie spent the next 94 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, John P. Colantonio and her siblings; sister Irene Wozniak, sister Wanda Raymond and her late husband Howard Raymond and brother, Ted Wozniak.

Survivors include her loving sons; David Colantonio and Ron Colantonio; a brother-in-law, Raymond Colantonio; a sister-in-law, Catherine Colantonio and several nieces and nephews including Elaine and Bill Dearcop and Paul and Danis Raymond.

Stevie was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, East Bethany since its beginning.

She was a generous  fun lady with many interests who praised God for His blessings of a long and faith filled life.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 5865 Ellicott Street Road, East Bethany. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
