Donald E. Parker

Donald E. Parker, 87 of Silver Springs died October 9, 2011 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was born in Albion, New York on March 23, 1924 to the late Charles A. (Leona Handy) Parker. Mr. Parker is a WWII Navy Veteran and member of the American Legion. He was a member of St. Isidore’s Parish-St. Mary’s Church in Silver Springs and the Castile Historical Society. Mr. Parker loved to travel with his wife. He is preceded in death by a sister Peggy Meyers.  

He is survived by his loving wife Catherine A. (Merlo) Parker of Silver Springs; sons Donald A. (Melinda) of Perry Center; Richard E. (Cindy) Parker of Castile; brother Charles (Suzanne) Parker of East Rochester; 5 grandchildren Donald J. Parker; Trisha M. (Sean) Atwood; Anthony Parker; Stephen Parker; Alexsandra Isabella; 1 great-grandson Donald A. Parker; along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Due to a family illness a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Springs.
