Daryl R. Cook

Daryl R. Cook, 64, of Batavia passed away on November 6, 2014 after a brief illness at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  He was born on March 30, 1950 in Batavia to the late Robert (Shirley Beyette) Cook. He is preceded in death by his sister Corrine (Roy) Lane.

Daryl selflessly lived his life for his family. His greatest satisfaction came from helping his loved ones and putting them before himself. He spent much of his spare time as an avid craftsman working on projects around his home. He was a boiler plant operator for 17 years at the VA Hospital. Daryl served in the United States Navy and is a former member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. 

He is survived by his wife Sue (Bisig) Cook of Batavia, a son Robert (Ashley) Cook of Batavia; brothers David (Carolyn) of Concord, NC, Dean of Batavia and Timothy (Janet) of East Bethany; sisters Coleen (Robert) Lynch of Mohawk, NY and Lorrie (Kevin) Gilbraith of East Bethany; 3 grandchildren Tyler, Kendra and Carter Cook of Batavia along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday November 11, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 10:00AM Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Daryl will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in Batavia.
