  James Douglas Slocum, 53, of Attica passed away on January 15, 2019. He was born on April 4, 1965 in Batavia, NY to the late Dale and Natalie (Seuss) Slocum.

James was a laborer with the Village of Attica before a tragic accident left him paralyzed at the tender age of 20 years old. James fought a courageous battle for 33 years.  James was predeceased by his father, Dale, his twin brother, Timothy Daniel, and brother, Michael Patrick.

He is survived by his mother, Natalie, his sister, Dee Bishop; brothers, Dale Slocum, Jr and William Slocum; aunts, Dawn Connelly and Ardyth Van Valkenburg; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 3 pm – 7 pm, Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main St, Attica, NY 14011. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday,  January 26, 2019 St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 30 Favor St, Attica, NY 14011.
