JOHN W. HOPKINS ~ Age 69, of Rochester, NY died Friday January 17, 2020 at the Monroe Community Hospital. He was born in Batavia, NY on December 21, 1950 to the late John E. Hopkins and Rosemary (Schultz) Warboys.

John served his country honorably with the elite Old Guard, serving as a Sentinel at The Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington National Cemetery, his time also included service at the White House. John worked for Kaplan Container in Rochester and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving is his longtime companion, Amy Franklin; siblings, Daniel (Laurie) Hopkins of Elba, Michael (Linda) Warboys of Oakfield, Cathy (late Larry) Kirkpatrick of FL, Laurie (Jerry) Fry, Susan (James) Brion, Janet (Mike) Borkholder all of Oakfield along with many nieces and nephews.

At John’s request funeral services will be held privately by the family and memorials in his memory can be made to the family.
