Mrs. Elfrieda G. Bridge

Stafford – Elfrieda G. Bridge, age 90, passed away on Friday October, 15, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 6, 1931, in Darien, a daughter of the late Robert and Frieda Gramp Humel.

Elfrieda led a full life and worked many years at G.T.E. Sylvania, Kodak, as a hair stylist and motel owner in Verona Beach, New York. She was an excellent baker and her Christmas cookies were legendary.

She was the loving wife to David J. Bridge, who survives her. She is also survived by three sons, Mark (Kate) Bridge, James (Karen) Bridge and Randy (Irene) Bridge; four grandchildren, Jessica (Garrett) Tarnowski, Justin (Nicole) Bridge, Alexis (Josh) Armstrong and Matthew (Madelyn) Bridge; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rudy (Jackie) Humel, Norm (Mary Lou) Humel and Kenny (Janet) Humel along with several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Robert Humel, Ernest Humel, Linda C. Dibble, Elsie Duckworth, Shirley Evans, Eleanor Luce and Alice Martin.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia where services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery.
