Gary was born August 18, 1958 in Batavia, a son of Louise (Grasso) Capuano of Batavia and the late Larry Capuano.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and taking trips. He was the maintenance manager for the Batavia Housing Authority. Gary will be remembered for his caring and adventurous spirit.
Surviving along with his mother are his children, Theodore J. (Katrina) Capuano of Florida, Maria (Travis) Ross of Elba and Ann Capuano of Batavia; sisters, Linda Baker and Karen Capuano; brothers, Dennis (Pam) Capuano and Donald (Cheryl) Capuano; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Laura A. Capuano; son, David Capuano; brother, David Capuano and his mother-in-law, Patricia Jasinski.
Calling hours are Tuesday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Gary's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be distributed to various charities.
