Mrs. Elizabeth J. Martinez

Brockport - Mrs. Elizabeth J. Martinez, age 90, passed away at home on Monday, September 25, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 2, 1933 in Lime Rock, a daughter of the late Anthony and Blanche Hale Vanelli.

Her husband, Jose A. Martinez, Sr., passed away on November 25, 2013.

She is survived by her children, Ralph "Skip" Macomber of Texas, Mark Laesser of Brockport, Guy (Deborah) Laesser of LeRoy, JoAnn (Brett) Meister of Brockport and Jose A. Martinez, Jr. of Englewood, Florida; several grandchildren including Carrissa Noviske, Jessy Soyka, Joelle and Janae Meister, Tina and Jack Dean, Vincent, Misty Rose and JR. Laesser, Jose A. Martinez, III, Joseph Martinez and Amber Pierson; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald (Loretta) Vanelli of Batavia along with several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Susan Hale and her siblings, Margaret Pietrzykowsi, Pearl Byzduzh, Loretta, Leonard, Joseph and Robert Vanelli.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Batavia Assembly of God Church, 24 North Spruce Street, Batavia. Her memorial services will immediately follow visitation at 2 pm. A light dinner will follow services ​in the Upper John Brown Hall ​of the church. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Grandview Cemetery.
