A head-on collision is reported in the area of 1410 Main Road, Pembroke.

Extrication will be required on two vehicles.  There are four patients, one with possible serious injuries.

UPDATE 3:45 p.m.: Checking the availability of Mercy Flight.  Traffic is being closed in both directions, with roadblocks at Route 5 and 77 and Boyce Road and 77.

UPDATE 3:48 p.m.: Corfu requested to break away at least one engine and some manpower from its wires-down scene to assist with extrication. An additional ambulance requested to the scene.

UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: There was a fatality in this accident.  The Sheriff's Office will release more information once family notifications are completed.

A truck and trailer rollover accident is reported in the eastbound lane of the Thruway in the area of mile marker 397.8.

A motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries is reported in the area of 5549 Clinton Street Road, Stafford.

The location is near the Prole Road Extension.

UPDATE 12:41 a.m.: There is only one Mercy EMS ambulance available to respond.  There are five patients, "most of them will be signoffs," said chief on scene. Bethany's ambulance to be requested to the scene.

A two-car accident with unknown injuries is reported at Byron Holley Road and Route 262 in Bryon.

A two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries is reported at Ellicott Street Road and Batavia Stafford Townline Road, Batavia.

The injuries are reportedly minor.

UPDATE 9:24 a.m.: A third Mercy ambulance requested to the scene.

A 60-year-old Oakfield resident died in an ATV accident reported at 6:28 p.m. on Monday, according to State Police.

According to troopers, Michael D. Borkholder was driving a 2008 Cam-Am Outlander Max XT southbound on Maple Road, Town of Alabama, and failed to stop and struck the rear end of another ATV, a 2021 CF Moto ZForcce 950, that was slowing to make a turn into a driveway. 

Borkholder was ejected from his ATV. 

He was transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center with severe injuries. He succumbed later that night.

A car has reportedly hit a house at 7610 Bank Street Road, Elba.

Unknown injuries.

UPDATE 12:50 P.m.: This is now reported as a two-vehicle accident with rollover and entrapment. Town of Batavia Fire requested to the scene.

A motorcycle is reportedly off the road with injury at Route 33 at Snipery Road, Corfu.

UPDATE 11:24 p.m.: Apparently, only cuts and scrapes, according to a first responder.

A car has gone off the road and into the woods in the area of 7887 Kelsey Road, Batavia.

The road was recently stoned, and responders are advised to approach with caution.

There are injuries but unknown extent.

A four-wheeler accident is reported in the area of 6683 West Sweden Road, Bergen.

The accident is in the woods.

UPDATE 3:04 p.m.: Bergen command on scene. Patient complaining of a broken hip.

A bicyclist has been struck by a vehicle in the area of 36 South Pearl St., Oakfield, and has possible minor injuries.

He is up on his feet.

 UPDATE 5:55 p.m.: Oakfield is back in service.

A single truck rollover accident, unknown injuries, is reported at York Road and South Street in Pavilion.

The caller was not involved.

A car has reportedly struck a tree in the area of 100 Hidden Meadow Drive, Bergen.

There was reportedly airbag deployment, and the elderly driver is not alert.

Bergen Fire and ambulance dispatched.

Two young men were seriously injured on Thursday evening when their respective pickup trucks collided head-on in the area of 232 Main Road, Town of Pembroke at about 5:31 p.m.

Zachary Miller-Barillari, 19, of Williamsville, was airlifted by Mercy Flight to ECMC and Jacob Brainard, 25, of Browmansville, was transported by Mercy EMS to ECMC.  

According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, the preliminary investigation indicates that Brainard was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram eastbound on Route 5, and Miller-Barillari was traveling west in a 2002 Ford F-350.

Brainard's vehicle was apparently in the middle of the roadway and took corrective action to get back into the eastbound lane of travel. Miller-Barillari directed his pickup truck into the eastbound lane of travel. 

The two trucks collided head-on in the eastbound lane and then continued off the south shoulder of the road where they came to rest in a ditch.

Both operators required extrication from their vehicles.

Pembroke Fire and Indian Falls Fire responded to the scene along with Mercy EMS.  Corfu Fire assisted with traffic control and a landing zone for Mercy Flight.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Crash Management Team.  Patrol officers assisted at the scene.

UPDATE 5:21 p.m.: Heavy extrication required with two vehicles. Corfu requested to the scene to set up a landing zone for Mercy Flight.

A pedestrian has reportedly been struck by a vehicle at Jackson and Ellicott in Batavia.

Unknown injuries.

UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: A bicyclist ran into a car. No injuries. The scene is clear.

A two-vehicle accident is reported at Buckley Road and Prentice Road, Stafford, with possible injuries and possible entrapment.

UPDATE 4:54 p.m.: The caller is "a little out of it."  She couldn't get her seatbelt off or her door open. She's unsure if she's injured.

UPDATE 4:55 p.m.: Law enforcement is stating not blocking, no entrapment, no injuries.

UPDATE 5:03 p.m.: Mercy EMS is back in service.
