Accident on Thruway on-ramp in Pembroke

A two-car accident with one person injured is reported at the 48-A on-ramp for the Thruway off of Route 77 in Pembroke.

Pembroke fire and Indian Falls fire dispatched along with Mercy EMS.

UPDATE 4:15 p.m.: T-bone accident. Twenty-two-year-old female driver, 12-weeks pregnant; needs to be evaluated.

Person reportedly injured after tractor falls off trailer in Alexander

A tractor has reportedly fallen off the trailer resulting in an injury accident  in the area of Darien Alexander Townline Road and Attica Road, Alexander.

UPDATE 12:39 p.m.: It's now reported as a backhoe that fell off the trailer, no other vehicles involved.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.: A chief on scene reports the vehicle off the road, no injuries.

Name released of driver in fatal truck accident on Thruway

Press release:

On Thursday, Sept. 28, at approximately 12:14 p.m., State Police were dispatched to investigate a serious injury tractor-trailer accident on I-90, westbound near exits 47 and 48, in the Town of Stafford.

The investigation at the scene revealed that the driver of the tractor-trailer William W. Frank, age 46, of Alden, was traveling westbound on I-90, in the Town of Stafford and for an unknown reason drove off the right shoulder of the roadway and into a heavily wooded area. The driver of the tractor-trailer was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The accident is being investigated by New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit (CVEU). No other vehicles were involved in the accident, no other injuries were reported.

Truck accident on Thruway in Le Roy

A semi-truck has left the roadway and traveled into the trees on the Thruway in the area of mile marker 392 in the westbound lane.

The driver has been ejected and is unconscious.

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, at approximately 12:14 p.m., State Police were dispatched to investigate a serious injury tractor-trailer accident on I-90, westbound near exits 47 & 48, in the Town of Stafford. The investigation is still ongoing, more information will be released as it becomes available. Expect traffic delays in the area.

Semi-truck and car involved in accident at Oak and Richmond

A car vs. semi-truck accident is reported at Oak and Richmond, Batavia.

Unknown injuries.

City fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

The roadway is blocked.

UPDATE 10:30 p.m.: A male ran from the accident heading west on Richmond Avenue. No description available.

UPDATE 10:33 p.m.: The person who fled is described as a white male with dark hair and dark clothing in his mid to late 20s.

UPDATE 11:16 p.m.: Police believe the sedan was westbound on Richmond Avenue and that it failed to yield for a red light. It struck the cab of the truck and spun so that the rear of the car struck the trailer. Sgt. Chris Camp said the driver is adamant that he was alone in the car. Witnesses told police he was the driver, but that somebody did run from the car. The driver was evaluated at the scene. He was not seriously hurt. The roadway was reopened at about 11 p.m.

Accident reported on the Thruway in Pembroke

An accident with possible injuries is reported on the Thruway in the area of mile marker 403.

Pembroke fire and Indian Fall fire along with Mercy EMS dispatched.

UPDATE 12:27 p.m.: A Mercy medic on scene has requested Mercy Flight.

UPDATE 1:34 p.m.: Mercy Flight has a three-minute ETA.

UPDATE 1:49 p.m.: Mercy Flight is airborne, destination not specified. Assignment back in service.

Hilton man identified as pedestrian struck and killed on Thruway

State Troopers are investigating why a 47-year-old man from Hilton got out of his vehicle on the Thruway at 8:40 p.m., Saturday, and ran into traffic.

William H. Ferguson was struck and killed by a car near the exit of the Thruway in Pembroke.

The accident is being reconstructed by the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.

No further information was released.

Two-car collision, with minor injuries, reported at Suicide Corners, Bethany

A two-car accident with minor injuries is reported at Route 20 and East Road (Suicide Corners) in Bethany. A first responder on scene says it is not blocking traffic. Bethany Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 5:51 p.m.: Fire police are directed to slow down traffic in the vicinity of the accident.
