Serving Soup Gathering

O-A American Legion would like to invite the public to our monthly “Soup Serving” gathering. The gathering will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Beginning February 15, March 15th, and April 19th @ 4:30-6:00pm. Open to the public, free of charge. Broth and cream soup will be served along with bread, coffee, and water.

Farmers Market Coupon Distribution for Seniors

Office for the Aging will be at the Genesee Country Farmers Market with and information table and Farmers Market coupons. Seniors age 60 and older who are income eligible can receive a $20 booklet of coupons at the market from 10am – 12pm. Income guideline are as follows: $1832/mo or less household of one $2470/mo or less household of two $3108/mo or less household of three New this year. Any senior 60 and older who is income eligible can receive a booklet. In years past it was limited to one per household

Fall Festival at the Willow Bend Inn - Holland Land Office Museum

Sunday, October 25th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the Holland Land Office Museum will be at the Willow Bend Inn at 3489 West Main Street Road to celebrate our annual Fall Festival! Live music provided by Red Creek. Delicious food and drink specials all afternoon. Costumed re-enactors will be firing off rifles and sharing local history. Activities and games for children, and a basket raffle of local produce and more for adults. $5.00 cover at the door, FREE for kids.

The exact food items available are not known, but fresh produce is usually available.

The Mobile Food Pantry is available to Genesee County residents only; there is no income verification required, but you must be 18 years old to pick up food from the pantry.

Please provide your own bags/cart/vehicle to transport items to your home.

Ceremonial Flag Raising and Bicentennial Time Capsule Burial

This Saturday, May 16th, the Holland Land Office Museum and the Batavia International Peace Garden are celebrating a joint event! The Peace Garden's annual flag raising will take place at 11:00 am with speaker State Assemblyman Steve Hawley and the St. Joseph's Brass Ensemble providing patriotic music.

At 1:00 pm, the Holland Land Office Museum will be burying its Bicentennial Time Capsule and keynote speakers include Genesee County historian Michael J. Eula and City of Batavia historian Larry Barnes.

71st Annual Strawberry Social
