Manure on roadway creating dangerous condition on Creek Road

By Billie Owens

Lots of manure on the roadway has created a dangerous condition on Creek Road down to East Road in the area of Baskin Farm, Town of Batavia. Dispatch has received multiple calls on this. Sheriff's deputies are responding.

we live on a nearby road. Baskins are good people but the farm is bad news. If its not catching on fire yearly, its making a mess of the surrounding roads. If its not making a mess on the roads, its making your backyard bbq or summer swimming, stink like shit. No one in the area appreciates how they used to live next to a nice farm, but now they live next to an industrial complex. Oh also, they use expired bread and other foods from wegmans to make cattle feed, the plastic wrappers for many of these products can be found in the trees, streams, and forests in the surrounding area. There is constant truck traffic in and out, the truck seem to be poorly maintained, and are often leaking mysterious fluids as they speed 80 down our road. They take our road to get back to wherever they have to go, bc creek road is too curvy and has a railroad underpass where it enters town. Its a constant source of fear for me and our pets. I would say about 3 cars an hour come down our road, yet about 15 big rigs in the same time. I know big farms are necessary, but this one is doing it wrong.
