A local mother is desperate to find her missing daughter and even though the daughter is missing in Miami, she's turned to local law enforcement, the local media and local residents to ask for help.

Alexis Say, 22, has been missing in Miami since Monday when she was last seen at an area emergency room.

Say lived in Indian Falls when she was 10, but mother, Jennifer, and daughter have lived in other parts of the country in the intervening years for work before moving to Miami.

When Alexis went missing, her mother, who has moved back to Indian Falls, tried to file a missing persons report in Miami and ran into some difficulty, so she turned to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy Chad Cummings took the report, according to Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble. Cummings then placed several phone calls to the Miami PD before finally successfully getting an investigation opened there.

Alexis Say is reportedly in poor health.

UPDATE 12:25 p.m.: Law enforcement units are with a man in the woods near Francis Road. Unconfirmed at this moment that it's Mr. Aubrey. 

A 75-year-old vulnerable adult from Alexander is still missing this afternoon and a new coordinate search effort will open a command post in the Francis Road area at 1 p.m.

As many as six, possibly more, K-9s from various law enforcement and search and rescue teams will join the search, said Tim Yaeger, emergency management coordinator for Genesee County.

The property of Robert W. Aubrey, as well as adjacent properties will be searched thoroughly, Yaeger said. If he's not located, according to Yaeger, then at least those properties can be ruled out as a possible location for the missing man.

Yaeger said Aubrey is known to walk along roadways, not so much into the woods, so if he left his property, then there's a chance he is walking along a roadway somewhere or was given a ride to some unknown location.

He was spotted on Putnam Road on Saturday.

Yesterday, a pair of blue pants, like those Aubrey may be wearing, were found in Kiwanis Park, but it was determined the pants did not belong to Aubrey, Yaeger said.

DEC forest rangers will also join the search today.

If the cloud cover lifts this afternoon, State Police aviation will join the search.

UPDATE 12:49 p.m.: The missing man has been found alive and is being transported to a hospital.

UPDATE 1:05 p.m.: According to Tim Yaeger, Genesee County Emergency Services coordinator, Robert W. Aubrey was found about 30 minutes ago by a family member who joined the search party. The missing man was about a quarter mile, south by southwest from his house. "He's in good condition, considering he spent two days in the woods," Yaeger said. Rescuers were preparing to deploy more canine units and air patrols when the dementia patient was found. His wife told responders she last saw him around 1 p.m. yesterday, when he went outside. He usually walks along roadways, and searchers, led by Bethany fire command, concentrated on roads after a few people reported sightings. But on Saturday he apparently went for a walk in the woods, or got turned around and ended up in there. Aubrey seems to be in good condition, was looking for water, and understood he was being taken by ambulance to UMMC for evaluation. The weather over the weekend was fairly warm and that was fortuitious. Yaeger said a tracking device would have helped locate Aubrey sooner.

Sheriff's patrols are looking for a missing person, possibly a vulnerable adult, in the area of Francis Road, Alexander.

Alexander Fire is requested to the scene for manpower.

No description has been provided.

A caller reports previously, last week, picking up a man walking alone on Creek Road and a deputy is advised to check that area.

UPDATE 2:56 p.m.: Pavilion and Darien requested crews standby in quarters.

UPDATE 3:05 p.m.: State Police also assisting in the search. The Sheriff's Office is working on obtaining and distributing a picture of the individual. It's unclear if the distribution is to include the media, or just law enforcement.

UPDATE 4:03 p.m.: The man is 75 years old and has been missing since 1 p.m. yesterday.

UPDATE 4:45 p.m. (press release): The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a missing vulnerable adult incident. At 12:12 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16,  the Genesee County Emergency Dispatcher Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting a Robert W. Aubrey (75 years of age) had wandered off from 9490 Francis Road in the Town of Bethany on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at around 1 p.m. The subject is described as a white male, 5’6”, with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve blue T-shirt, blue pants and glasses. He suffers from severe dementia and also walks with a limp. A search of the immediate area is currently underway. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by New York State Police, Genesee County Emergency Management Office, Bethany and Alexander fire departments. UPDATE: 4:55 p.m.: A fire crew from Town of Batavia is asked to assemble and deploy to Bethany for this search. Also, a male caller to dispatch reported that he passed the missing subject yesterday twice on Putnam Road. The second time he passed him, the man was northbound, walking in a ditch, in the 9000 block.

UPDATE 10:27 p.m. The search was halted at nightfall. Mr. Aubrey has not been located at this time.

UPDATE 11:37 a.m., Oct. 17: The search resumed this morning and about a half hour ago, family members got the OK from the Sheriff's Office to fan out and look for their loved one in the woods,

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing elderly Alzheimer's patient. Roger Allen Bowler Sr., 79, was last seen at his residence on Alexander Road in Attica at 9:50 this morning (Aug. 9).

Bowler is a white male, about 5'8" and weighing 173 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue plaid shirt and camouflage-colored crocs (footwear).

He may be operating a 2002 Jeep Liberty color red bearing NY Pass plate GFA7188.

Bowler is known to frequent the Batavia and Oakfield areas.

UPDATE: Mr. Bowler has been located. Mr. Bowler was identified by State Police during an investigation of a motor-vehicle accident in Oswego. He was transported to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse for treatment of minor injuries.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to find a teenage girl missing from Oakfield. Aleesha Johnson is a 15-year-old African-American with brown eyes, brown hair, weighing 183 pounds. She is 5' 5" and may be accompanied by an adult male. They may travel to Rochester.

     Aleesha Johnson

Batavia PD is seeking the pubic's assistance in locating Aleesha D. Johnson, 15, of Batavia, who is a missing teen and possible runaway.

She was last seen in the City of Batavia on Jan. 7.

She may be in Batavia or Rochester.

She has communicated with others via an untraceable phone number stating she is in Rochester. 

Batavia warns that anybody who knowingly impedes the return of a missing child is committing a crime. 

Batavia PD has been sharing information with Rochester PD.

Aleesha is 5'5" and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She is African-American.

UPDATE: Aleesha was located in Rochester and is safe.

Olivia A. Rivera-Ellis is missing and is considered a runaway.

The 16-year-old was last seen at Batavia High School at 11:30 a.m., Monday. 

She was wearing a black and silver scarf, a black and pink cosmetology sweater, black yoga pants and white Jordan high-top sneakers. 

She was carrying a cheetah-print backpack.

She may still be in the local area.

"As in all cases of runaway youth, people who knowingly harbor these individuals are committing a crime," said Det. Rich Schauf.

Preston Daigler

The Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's assistance in locating a missing teen.

The youth reported missing is Preston Daigler, 16, of Batavia.

He was last seen in Lyndonville on Nov. 7. The missing person report is out of Orleans County, but the Sheriff's Office believes he may be in Genesee County.

Preston has blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5' 9" and 150 pounds.

D Andre J. Cramer, 15, is a runaway from Batavia and police believe he is in the local area.

He is 5'6" tall, 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and the missing child flier says he is of mixed race (black/white).

D Andre was last seen on Monday, Aug. 4, wearing a dark gray Nike shirt, tan shorts, gray and white sneakers and a baseball cap.

He may go by the names "Dre" or "D."

Jason Whitehead is a missing teen from Le Roy. Whitehead is missing from foster care. He's considered a likely runaway. He may have headed to Olean or Oakfield.

There is no available clothing description. He is 6' 2", 185 pounds with sandy hair and hazel eyes. If you have information that could help authorities locate Jason, call the Sheriff's Office at (585) 343-5000.

 

 

 

 

Police are looking for a 14-year-old boy described as a willful runaway and believed to be in Batavia.

The youth is identified as Timothy Vail. He was last seen wearing a black uniform. He has visible cuts and scrapes on his left forearm.

Timothy has green eyes and blond hair and is 5'1", 128 lbs.

Anybody with information, contact Genesee County Dispatch at 345-6350.

UPDATE: Timothy has been located and is safe.

A teenager from Pavilion who was reported to State Police as missing on July 9 was located about 30 minutes ago, according to Trooper Holly Hansel.

Hansel said 17-year-old Brittany Hackett is fine and she is safe. The case has been closed.

 

Police believe Justice D. Osborne, 15, of 104 Pearl St., Batavia, has run away from home and neither her parents nor police can locate her. They are asking for the public's help in finding her.

There is no indication of forcible abduction.

She is  5’2”, 140 pounds. At the present time her black hair has long straight extensions. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and purple skate sneakers.

Anyone with information or who has seen Justice since her disappearance is asked to please call the Batavia Police at 345-6350.

A 16-year-old boy has officially been missing since Jan. 21, but Youth Officer John K. Dehm had been tracking him and had a good idea where he was, according Chief Deputy Jerome Brewster.

Now, the whereabouts of Ronald J. Murray Jr., are unknown and the Sheriff's Office is asking for the help of anyone who might know where he is.

Murray is 5' 10", 170lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen leaving Batavia High School and failed to show up for classes at BOCES.

Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing youth who may be in Batavia.

Nathaniel Davis, 15, may be in the company of a 17-year-old girl.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Davis reportedly is a runaway.

He is described as black with brown eyes, 5' 3", 175lbs.

Anybody with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-346-3543.

A petite foreign exchange student is reported missing and authorities are searching in and around Bowen Road in the Town of Alexander.

Didn't catch the host's address.

The person is described as 4' 7", 85 pounds, small frame.

Authorities are told to look in a nearby meadow also.

UPDATE (6:58 p.m.): Four searchers on ATVs are scouring the meadow near the residence in search of the person.

UPDATE (7:19 p.m.): Searchers planned on focusing on a trail running north/northwest of the meadow. They are bringing in a dog. However, now there's a report of a young, small female, with her hair in a ponytail and wearing a gray sweatshirt, spotted running on Route 238 (Attica Road) toward Attica. A caller said it appeared she had been running for some time. Also, she's reportedly adept at climbing trees, a skill which might prove handy if she was running away from danger.

UPDATE (7:36 p.m.) The female foreign exchange student has been located and she is safe.

UPDATE 4:31 p.m.: Stephanie Cooper, 15, who was reported missing earlier has been located, according to police.

Stephanie Cooper, 15, of Batavia, has been reported missing.

Stephanie was last seen between 3 and 4 p.m. Friday in the area of Richmond Avenue and Woodrow Road. Cooper may have gotten into a red van in that area.

Det. Richard Schauf said no other information is available at this time.

Stephanie is 5’2” tall, 120 pounds.
