A 70-year-old Batavia woman died yesterday in a two-car accident at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Road and Paul Road in Chili.
The crash was reported at 2:30 p.m.
It took firefighters 30 minutes to extricate Diane Rebmann from her vehicle. She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where she later died.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reports that Rebmann was westbound on Paul Road and made a left turn onto Chestnut Ridge Road. They say her vehicle entered the path of a vehicle driven by Joseph Curtis, 18, of North Chili. His vehicle was T-boned and pushed into a telephone pole.
Curtis was not hurt.
Bergen volunteer firefighters and Mercy EMS medics responded to an accident on Bovee Road, Riga, at 5:45 p.m. where a young male driver was pronounced dead as a result of a single-car accident.
The driver's car reportedly struck a tree.
The name of the driver has not yet been released.
The location of the accident is in Bergen's fire district, though in Monroe County.
Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
The stretch of road is near another fatal accident in August where a woman's car struck a tree.

A car was reportedly run off the road by a car trying to pass a fire truck on Route 33 near Route 237 in Stafford.
Possible injuries are reported.
The accident was called in by the crew of Town of Batavia Ladder 25, who witnessed the accident.

UPDATE 6:42 p.m.: The victim vehicle has also left the scene. No injuries. With the victim leaving, there's nobody on scene for a report, so law enforcement responding back in service. All responding units back in service.

UPDATE 12:29 p.m.: The vehicle is 40 feet of the road in a swamp. A chief requests a couple of firefighters in boots to walk the people out of the swamp.
A car has hit a tree on the 490 just west of the Route 33 overpass.

A rollover accident with entrapment is reported in the area of 6690 Ellicott Street Road, Pavilion.

A minor injury accident involving a motorcyclist and pickup truck is reported on Harris Road in Le Roy.
A pickup truck attempted to make a left-hand turn into a driveway on Harris Road, west of Asbury Road, when an oncoming motorcyclist struck it head on.
Le Roy fire, Mercy medics and Sheriff's deputies are on scene. The driver of the pickup was uninjured; the motorcyclist is being evaluated.
A two-car collision is reported in Elba at South Main and Chapel streets. Elba fire police are called to the scene. No word on injuries.
A car accident with minor injuries is reported at Main and Jackson streets in Downtown Batavia. City fire and Mercy medics are responding. Police are on scene.
Both vehicles in an accident at Wright and Tesnow roads, Basom, reportedly rolled over and minor injuries are reported.
One vehicle is reported to be a van with two passengers. The passengers are said to be alert but disoriented. The occupant of the other vehicle appears to be uninjured. He will be evaluated because there was airbag deployment.

UPDATE 8:31 a.m.: There are two Mercy rigs and an ambulance from Akron in route.
UPDATE 8:38 a.m.: One person is still in a vehicle but can be helped out without extrication. Another person is on the ground. A third patient is out and walking around. Responders are warned about debris in the roadway. Also, roadway signs were knocked down.
UPDATE 8:40 a.m.: The van is an extended van that is full of equipment. It was also pulling a trailer. It's on its side. A heavy wrecker will be required.
UPDATE 9:04 a.m.: Patient transported to ECMC.
A car vs. deer accident with minor injuries is reported at 1315 Main Road, Corfu. Smoke is coming from a vehicle. Pembroke Fire Department is responding. The location is between Route 77 and Boyce Road. There is "debris all over the roadway," according to a first responder on scene.
A tractor-trailer versus pole accident at a construction site on Judge Road caused power lines to be ripped down. A power company rep is on scene and lines are across construction equipment, the road and are torn from a house.
Alabama fire command is holding the assignment to remain in the fire hall. The road will be temporarily closed from Kenyon Avenue to Route 77 until the lines are removed.
No injuries are reported.
A truck vs. utility pole accident is reported in area of 7561 Gilbert Road in Bergen.

UPDATE 9:34 a.m.: Two patients in one vehicle. A second ambulance requested to the scene.
A collision involving three vehicles is reported at Route 5 and Seven Springs Road. One person has a head injury and another has a hand injury. It is blocking traffic. Law enforcement is on scene. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.
UPDATE 12:57 p.m.: The accident is near 5248 E. Main Street Road (Route 5).
A two-car collision with unknown injuries is reported at Jackson and Main streets in Downtown Batavia. City fire, police and Mercy medics are responding.
A two-vehicle accident with injuries is reported at the intersection of routes 19 and 63. Pavilion Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.
UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: A first responder at the scene reports one patient, a pregnant female, who suffered a bump on the head and has lower back pain. Her vehicle was rear-ended.
UPDATE: The patient was transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
A motorcycle accident is reported at 3246 Galloway Road, Batavia. "It appears the motorcyclist spun out, lost control, went off the roadway." Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding. The motorcyclist is down. The location is east of Downey Road. Law enforcement is on scene. Mercy Flight is called to the scene; weather being checked to determine availability.
UPDATE 12:15 p.m.: Mercy Flight will be able to go to the accident; then will only be able to fly eastward to Rochester due to weather.
UPDATE 12:24 p.m.: The helicopter will be landing in an uncut hay field adjacent to the scene.

UPDATE 12:35 p.m.: Mercy Flight #5 is airborne and heading to Rochester.
UPDATE 12:48 p.m.: The Galloway Road assignment is back in service.
UPDATE 12:51 p.m.: The motorcyclist was a female whose bike hit a wet, slick spot in the pavement, sending the bike fishtailing out of control. She suffered a leg injury and possibly other non-life-threatening injuries. She will be further evaluated at Strong Memorial Hospital. The witness to the accident was her husband, who was following her in his truck.
