Lost Dogs: Deacon and Mavis

By Howard B. Owens

This is Deacon and Mavis. Deacon and Mavis are missing.

Owner Dawn Wolcott said they ran off Monday night and haven't returned.

Wolcott lives in Attica. She isn't sure what direction they headed, but is hoping somebody in Genesee County might know their whereabouts.

They are rescues from Buffalo and Wolcott has had them about a year.

Deacon has a white and green collar and tags. Mavis has a red collar and tags.

Wolcott can be reached at (585) 297-3241.

You are the man Ken....our community needs more people like yourself. Guess the wife and I know where we will have to have our Valentine's Dinner.

What beautiful animals. I am SO glad they were found, they look like happy dogs, so I bet they were glad to be home! Just using up a little "spring fever" energy I am sure.. And Kenny Mistler, VERY nice offer, that is how a community should respond. By the way Nina Kelso........
THIS is what well-cared for pitbulls are supposed to look like.

Amen Debra. What beautiful dogs they are, especially the blue-eyed one. I wonder if the dogs qualify for Ken's generous offer since they apparently found their way home. I'm sure they'd be very happy with a few steaks.

Amen Debra, I'm catching alot of flack for holding Lynda Kelso to task for defending Nina on the facebook comments, I guess I'm a bully for not just dropping it when the Nina enablers can come on and bs people. Hopefully Foxer (that was the dogs name) recovers his sight and gets a nice forever home where they wont try to starve him of love and nutrition.

As a dog lover, I'm so releived the dogs are back home. I love happy endings.
I haven't bothered to see what has been posted on fb in defense of Nina Kelso.
If the dog was ill, it should have been taken care of, bottom line, no excuses.
One of my bojacks became seriously ill on a Sat.night, early Sun.morning, I called
every vet I could get a phone # for. I finally found a place in Buffalo and within 25 mins. from the time I noticed something wrong, we were on our way.
Another happy ending, it seems a medication was dropped and the dog found it. A little charcoal, some iv fluids, and $600 later, he was fine.
This is what owning a pet is all about Nina, if you are not willing to care for one, don't own one.
