Margaret F. Bogue

She was born in Batavia, NY on April 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Edward and Frances Ksczanowicz Moscicki.
Margaret was formerly employed by Darien Lake Theme Park prior to her retirement. She had a love for bingo and will be known always for her baking skills. As a resident of Washington Towers for several years, Margaret had started a tradition of passing out carnations to all the mothers on Mothers Day.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (William) Crawford of Sardinia and Annette Estrada (Timothy Slivinski) of Batavia. Son, David Bogue of Batavia. Brother, Walter (Elaina) Moscicki of California. Also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will conducted at the conclusion of visitation at 7pm. Interment will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Ann was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Perry for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband Felix Ochal; grandson Daniel J. Nichols; brothers Ronnie, Paul Jr. and Steve DioGuardi.
She is survived by sons Terry (Patricia), Timmy (Celeste) Ochal both of Las Vegas, NV; daughters JoAnn (George) Crawford of Caledonia; Tammy (Don) Kelsey of Perry; brothers Donald (Sally) DioGuardi of Bergen, Brian (Maxine) DioGuardi of Batavia; sisters Carmella (Jay) Brick of Perry; Carol (Henry) Lukas of Sardinia; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Timothy P. Smith

Mr. Smith was born January 20, 1960 in Batavia, a son of Mary Busse Smith and the late Lloyd A. Smith.
He was a 35+ year employee of Graham Manufacturing in Batavia, where he considered his fellow workers to be like family. He was also an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his mother, Mary Smith of Byron, he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara Sickmond Smith, his daughter, Shawna Smith (Geoff Tuttle) of Byron, his siblings, Daniel (Nancy) Smith of LeRoy and Deborah (John) Loreant of Houston, TX, sister in law and brother in law, Debra (Joseph) DelleFave of Rochester, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his dad, he was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd and a nephew, Matthew.
Special recognition and appreciation for the love and support offered to Tim and his family from the Young Farmers, Graham Manufacturing and Genesee Community College.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Roger J. Norton of E. Bethany who she married on May 14, 1955; children Fran (Bobbi) Norton of Alexander; Cindy (Wayne) Ortiz of E. Bethany; Mark (Sue) Norton of E. Bethany; Sandy (Jeff) Fluker of Bethany; Jane (Brian) Dills of Alexander; 9 grandchildren Greg, Lindsey, Kristie, Ashley, Jason, Amanda, Drew, Bradley and Jamie along with several nieces and nephews.

John W. Herman
John W. Herman, 86, of Akron, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (March 4, 2014) at Beechwood Nursing Facility in Getzville, NY.
He was born in Buffalo on November 2, 1927, son of the late John F. and Anne Laurencell Herman.
John was a chemical operator for O-Cel-O Sponge Company in Tonawanda prior to his retirement. He and his wife also enjoyed square and round dancing.
Survivors include his wife, Antoinette Schumacher Herman. Children, John F. Herman, Ann Marie (Brian) Morris, Lloyd J. (Julie Lim) Herman, Michael G. (Jeanne) Herman, Charles E. Herman, Conrad L. (Kimberly) Herman, Andrew P. (Mary Beth) Herman and Deborah L. (Daniel) Cygrymus. Also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Joseph F. Herman and Bernice Woodley.

LEONARD CHARLES GUARINO

Batavia - Mr. Leonard Charles Guarino, age 94, formerly of Oakfield, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 as a resident of the New York State Veteran’s Home in Batavia
Leonard was born April 11, 1919, in Mount Morris, the youngest of ten children to the late Joseph and Mary Muscato Guarino.
He served honorably in World War II as a member of the United States Navy and again in the Korean War as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Leonard was a member of the Teamsters Union working at Empire State Motor Express in Lime Rock where he retired from in 1980.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father who deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After his retirement, he enjoyed outdoor activities especially fishing, mowing his kids’ lawns, building screen houses, gardening, spending time telling his stories and sharing his tremendous sense of humor and jokes. In 1992, Leonard and his late wife, Margaret, became members of the Oakfield Recreation Club and established their summer residence there, keeping their winter home in Florida.
He is predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Margaret E. (Underwood) Wadams Guarino.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Valerie) Wadams of Oakfield, Debbie (Roger) Cornell of Retsof, Gary (Sue) Wadams of Oakfield, Pamela Wadams of Batavia and Lennie Colley of Batavia; ten grandchildren, Carrie Monachino of Oakfield, Mark (Stefanie) Wadams of Mahopac, Ronald (Tracy) Cornell of Rochester, Todd Cornell of Rochester, Jeremy Cornell of Retsof, Tara (Vince) Fasso of Livonia, Jaime (Scott) Kelly of Perry, Brandi (Jon) Suro of Getzville, Nicole Hurlbutt of Batavia and Brena Hurlbutt of Cheektowaga; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There are no prior visiting hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery, Dansville. Memorials may be made to the New York State Veteran’s Home in Batavia where Leonard was loved by all that cared for him there. Geraldine A. Foster
Geraldine A. Foster, 84 of Batavia, died Thursday February 27, 2014 at the Batavia Health Care Center. She was born May 17, 1929 in LeRoy to the late Learine (Helen Randolph) Fuller. Ms. Foster worked for many years at Ebling Laundry. She was a past member of the Salvation Army. She is preceded in death by her special friends Myron Bogue and David Ebling, sisters Shirley Munt, Doris Wozniak, Betty, Gertrude and Mildred Fuller.
Ms. Foster is survived by sisters Mary Snyder of Batavia, along with many nieces and nephews.

Rose L. Blair
Rose L. Blair, 83 of Varysburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born on January 24, 1931 in Warsaw to the late John (Mary Janik) Satola. Mrs. Blair worked at the Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center in Varysburg for 46 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Bennington Center. Rose enjoyed raising chickens and geese as well as gardening. She was a devoted fan of Earnest Tubb and John Wayne. Rose had a love for music, teaching her children to play many instruments especially her favorite instrument the fiddle. She loved babies, all babies, her children and grandchildren often referring to them as her “Little Dupies”.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Blair who passed in 1990, daughter Janet Blair, grandson Todd Thornton, brothers Frank, Stanley and Steven Satola, sisters Katherine Satola, Mary Wagner and Sophie Widelski.
Mrs. Blair is survived by sons Kenneth (Cindi); Wayne (Judy) both of Varysburg; Roger Blair of Bennington; daughters Joanne (David) Thornton of Attica; Patricia (Scott) Meidenbauer of Varysburg; Susan (Tracy) Mallon of Bennington; brothers Raymond (Agatha) Satola of OH; Leonard (Alice) Satola of Depew; sister Helen Pierce of Alden; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Hannelore "Lore" Easterbrook
Hannelore “Lore” Easterbrook, 67, of Batavia, died Monday (February 24, 2014) at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY.
She was born June 26, 1946 in Schwabisch Hall, Germany, a daughter of the late Josef and Margarete Hauser Zettl.
Lore was employed by Terry Hills Restaurant & Banquet Facility in Batavia for several years and enjoyed being with not only the people she worked with but also the people she served. She was a fun, loving and vibrant person. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra White of Pueblo, Colorado. Two sons, Lynn Wood of Batavia and Spencer Zerger of Denver, Colorado. Also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Debra A. Chaplin
Debra A. Chaplin, 57 of Gainesville, passed away February 26, 2014 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born August 17, 1956 in Batavia to the late John (Elanor Schiller) Wassink. Deb worked at the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers, scrapbooking and raising dogs. She loved to cook and had collected over 300 cookbooks. Deb was very artistic and enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Chaplin of Gainesville, son John and daughter Misty Chaplin both of Attica; brothers Terry, Tom (Cathy) Wassink both of FL; Tim (Paula) Wassink of Attica; four grandchildren Hannah, Jakk, Jaik Chaplin; Landyn Elliott, along with several nieces and nephews.
