John A. Bilodeau-Redeye

John A. Bilodeau-Redeye, 63 of Basom, passed away unexpectedly on Friday (November 13, 2015) in Belen, New Mexico. 

He was born April 23, 1952 in San Francisco, CA, a son of the late Norma Poodry and Nicholas Redeye of Belen, NM. 

John was employed by New York State as a Peace Officer prior to his retirement and also worked at the T.P. Deli. He was president of the TIRCA Board and member of the Canadian Sledders Inc., Siberian Husky Club of Niagara Falls, the Seneca Siberian Husky Club and the co-owner of BiliRed Sled Dogs 

Survivors include his wife,Catherine Bilodeau-Redeye of Basom. Brother, Thomas Redeye of Spokane, WA. Step-sister, Sharon LeRoy. Nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Barbara, Melanie and Robin Redeye. 

He was the brother of the late Glenn Redeye.

Donald B. Bigelow

Corfu - Donald B. Bigelow of Corfu, entered into rest December 1, 2015, at age 86. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; sister, Ann (Peter) Van Horn; son, Jeffrey (Susan) Bigelow; and daughters, Deborah (Ross) Fuller and Pamela (Daniel) Gurbacki. He is grandfather to Adam (Stacy) Bigelow, Thomas (Elina) Bigelow, Tracy (JP) McCallin, Philip (Lauren) Gurbacki, Bradley Gurbacki and Jeffrey Gurbacki. Great-grandfather to Ryan, Lauren, Matthew, Morgan, Ian and Derek. He is also survived by his Aunt Jean Roda.

Donald retired from New York Telephone after 42 years of service and moved to Lakeland, Florida where he enjoyed golfing. A private memorial service will be held. Arthur E. "Jack" Bigelow

Arthur E. “Jack” Bigelow, 88, of Attica passed away on Monday November 30, 2015 at the LeRoy Village Green.  Jack was born on October 31, 1927 in Warsaw to the late Alfred and Mildred (Denvi) Bigelow.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by sons Terrance and Randy Bigelow and sisters Eleanor Snyder and Norma Freas.

Jack served with the United States Army and the Merchant Marines during WWII, then worked and retired from the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He loved to play the guitar and sing old time country songs and had a special love for animals.

He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Bigelow of Attica; children Mary (Peyton) Herman , Crystal (Tommy) Hyde both of Alabama, Tressa (Mike) Riggi of Batavia and Jackie (Chuck Miller) Bigelow of Batavia; sister Edna Bissell of Wyoming, NY; 5 step sisters, many grandchildren and great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

EDWIN R. GREENE, SR.

EDWIN R. GREENE, SR.

Age 88, of Batavia, died peacefully Monday afternoon November 30, 2015 at the New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia. He was born in Bradenton, FL on January 27, 1927, to the late Arthur and Inez (Chamberlain) Greene, also preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Vernon.

Mr. Greene was a United States Army Veteran and worked for many years for Conrail as an engineer. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed winters in Las Vegas with his late wife and  time spent with his family.

Surviving are his loving children, Jane (late Dennis) Glor, Joyce (Ken) Grazioplene and Edwin R. "Buddy" Green, Jr. all of Oakfield; 4 grandchildren, Randy (Megan) Glor, David Glor, Michael (Shannon) Grazioplene & Jeffrey (Andrea) Grazioplene; 8 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Carson, Cady & Haylee Glor, Taylor, Zackary, Cole & Elizabeth Grazioplene along with several nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

The family will be present from 10-11am Friday December 4 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00am. Carole L. Butler

Mrs. Carole L. Butler, 77, of Attica passed away Tuesday December 1, 2015 at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born January 27, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to the late Franklin J. and Evelyn C. (Steiger) Wald of Attica. She is preceded in death by her sister Mary June Hall.
 
Carole was a graduate of University at Buffalo Nursing School and employed as an RN at Wyoming County Community Hospital for many years, later to become director of nursing of that facility.  Not only did she run the nursing facility and hospital, she also was a member of the OTB board of Directors, former Chairwoman of Wyoming County, Republican Chairman, Councilperson for the Warsaw Town Board, Trustee of the Warsaw Village Board and on the Library Board.   In addition, she opened Manor Oak nursing facility. She was also a “mom” to many of the neighborhood kids.
 
She is survived by her companion James Foley; children Stacey and Douglas Butler and grandchildren Tanner and Kelly Butler.

Dorothy Margaret Easton

Medina - Dorothy Margaret Easton, 94, of Medina, died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Orchard Manor Residential Health Care Facility, in Medina.

Mrs. Easton was born January 10, 1921 in Medina, a daughter of the late Vincent and Cora (Bissel) Wells.

She is predeceased by her husband Harold C. Easton.  

Survivors include 2 sons, Clyde H. Easton of Oakfield and Clifford (Shirley) Easton of AZ; a daughter-in-law, Karen Easton of Medina; a brother, Alfred Wells of Shelby; 9 grandchildren, Rhonda (Michael) Schunk of Darien, Scott (Robin) Easton of LeRoy, Traci (Eric) Ford of Medina, Teri Easton of Lancaster, Wendy (Marcos) Gonzoles of AZ, and Danielle Easton of AZ; 9 great-grandchildren, Kristy (Ian) Will, Cody Sczepanski, Brittany Sczepanski, Ronald "BJ" Washak, Cassandra Easton, Cory Schunk, Kylie Gonzoles, Jovianna Gonzoles and Isabella Gonzoles and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Evan and Tyler Massaro and Ronin Will. 

She was the mother of the late David (late Shirley) Easton, sister of the late Joseph Wells, Irvin Wells, Luther Wells, Fred Wells, Emma Wells and Elizabeth Burns.  She was also the grandmother of the late Kyle Schunk.

Daniel E. Eggleston

Churchville- Sunday, November 29, 2015 at age 68.  Survived by his wife, Barbara Eggleston of Churchville, his daughter, Kim (Curtis) Umscheid of Montana, a brother, Richard (Louise) Eggleston and several nephews. Harriet E. Miller

Alexander - Harriet E. Miller, 98, of Alexander went to be with her Lord on November 27, 2015, at Crossroads House in Batavia. She was born February 21, 1917, in Alexander, a daughter of the late M. Merlyn and Grace (Hickox) Woodruff. 

After graduating from Alexander High School in 1933, she attended Geneseo Normal School from which she received a teaching degree in 1937. She began her career as a school teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in Alexander. Once the Alexander district was centralized she became its first 3rd-grade teacher. 

As a young child, she was a member of 4-H and then became a leader as an adult. She was a member of the North Alexander Grange and also served as an associate delegate of the Dairymen’s League Cooperative.  For 15 years, she was secretary of the Maple Hill Cemetery Association. As a lifelong member of North Darien Bible Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher, mission treasurer, and was a member of numerous pastoral search committees. 
Much of her time in recent years was spent gardening, reading, quilting, and cooking and baking in her kitchen. A major joy in her life was her family and following them across the country and around the world.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ray W. Miller, whom she married on August 2, 1941; her siblings - Marjorie Lawrence, Eleanor Klotzbach and Donald Woodruff. Harriet was a beloved mother and is survived by her children - Dorothy (late Scott) Acomb, Lucille (David) MacKenzie, Charles (Laurel) Miller, David (Anne) Miller, and James (Elisabeth) Miller, as well as Everel Mastin, a cousin, who became like a son to her. Her legacy includes 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 4-8 PM at North Darien Bible Church, 9762 Simonds Road, Corfu, New York 14036 where a celebration of her life will be held onWednesday, December 2, 2015, at 11 AM. Burial will be immediately following the service at Maple Hill Cemetery. Mary L. Waterman

STAFFORD/LE ROY – Mary (Leanen) Waterman, 86, of LeRoy, formerly of Stafford, died Thursday evening (November 26, 2015) at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.
     Mrs. Waterman was a lifetime resident of the Stafford area and was a beloved mother and grandmother.  She was a farm homemaker, 4-H leader, and former employee of Genesee Memorial Hospital.  She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stafford and the Stafford Historical Society.
     She is survived by her children, Roger Waterman of Tucson, Ariz., Jerold (Elizabeth) Waterman of Panama City, Fla., Sandra (Bruce) Lattimer of Spring Hill, Fla. and Jeffrey (Shelly) Waterman of Stafford; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Waterman, her parents, Frank and Amy (Pamphilon) Leanen, and her two brothers, Edward C. Leanen and Harry P. Leanen.

      A memorial service and internment will be announced at a later date in the Spring of 2016. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stafford.

Angela Jazwiecki

Angela Jazwiecki, 24 of Rochester and formerly of Batavia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (November 28, 2015) at her residence.

She was born in Batavia, NY on April 19, 1991, a daughter of Lisa Burns of Batavia and James (Jennifer) Jazwiecki of Akron.

Angela was a 2009 graduate of Notre Dame High School where she played soccer and track. She was also a graduate of Monroe Community College. Angela was employed by Wegmans in Rochester as a Pharmacy Tech. She enjoyed playing the flute and had a love for cats.

She was a granddaughter to the late Robert Burns and Jerome Jazwiecki.

Surviving beside her parents are her brother, Robert Burns of Batavia. Sister, Emily Jazwiecki of Akron. Maternal grandmother, Muriel Burns of Batavia. Paternal grandmother, Jeanette Jazwiecki of Akron. Boy friend, Kyle Scalzo of Rochester and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Laurie D. Stevenson

Bergen - Laurie D. Stevenson, 51, of Bergen, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, (November 24, 2015) at her home, in Bergen.

Mrs. Stevenson was born August 29, 1964 in Newfane, a daughter of Luella (Hamilton) Milam of Corfu and the late Luther Milam.

Laurie was a very kind, caring person.  She loved animals, especially cats and dogs and attended City Church, in Batavia.  She greatly enjoyed baking and cooking; and had a dream of one day opening her own catering business. 

She is the wife of Ralph E. Stevenson, whom she married October 22, 2005.

Surviving along with her husband and mother are her children, Christopher (Alicia) Milam of Lancaster, and Sara (Darrin) Coates of Wellsville; grandchildren, Jack and Rose Marie Coates; brothers, Ronald Milam of OH, David (Sandy) Milam of VA, and Mark Milam of Corfu; a sister, Barbara Josey of Corfu.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by an infant sister.

DAVID MARAGLIANO

Oakfield - David Maragliano, age 71, of Oakfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital.

Mr. Maragliano was born on July 25, 1944, in Buffalo, a son of the late Angelo and Viola Schwartzmeyer Maragliano.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he owned and operated Maragliano Construction in Oakfield.

He is survived by his wife Carol Fischer Maragliano, whom he married on July 13, 1963; his children, William D. (Donna) Maragliano, Sr. of Basom and Laura Maragliano of Oakfield; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; his brother, Dennis Maragliano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where his services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Edna Mae Cummings

Edna Mae Cummings, 92 of Wolcottsville NY, went home to be with her Lord on November 25, 2015 at the Brothers of Mercy Rehabilitation & Care Center/Hospice Buffalo.

She was born on April 19, 1923 in the town of Royalton, NY and was the youngest daughter of (10) to the late Rose (Handrich) & Rudolph Frisch of Wolcottsville, NY.

Edna was a homemaker, and later had a career in food processing with RJR Foods, Inc. in Lockport, NY until her retirement.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Hunts Corners.  

She was the wife of the late Leverne E. Cummings, who died February 8, 1996.

She is survived by one sister, Ruth Harold (97) of Medina, NY and 6 children, Dale (Rebecca) Cummings, Larry (Linda) Cummings, Clifford (Marilyn) Cummings, Jack (Roberta) Cummings, Gloria Cummings, and Claudia (Timothy) Hurne.   Edna was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Robert J. Stegura Sr.

Robert J. Stegura Sr. 71, of Sheldon, a local mechanic, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at his home. He was born on June 6, 1944 in Buffalo to the late Charles and Emma (Schiffler) Stegura.  In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his brother Charles Stegura.

Robert was a beloved father and is survived by his children; Janice Marie (Sam) Zimblis, Robert (Michelle) Stegura Jr.; grandchildren Ken (Anne) Powers, Sara Powers and Sandra Powers; great grandchildren Kenny Powers and Mason Giles; Uncle Ed (Jean) Schiffler along with several nieces and nephews.

Randy Scott Schuld, 57, died November 5, 2015. He was born in North Tonawanda, NY and was employed as an audio engineer at National Audio in Baldwinsville for 3 years and most recently for I.A.T.S.E. Local 9 for the past 15 years. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph J. Schuld. Survived by his wife, Vincenza M. Marchese of Parish NY; his mother, Marilyn Scott-Schuld, -Britton of Attica, NY; his sisters, Diane (Robert) Franczak of Myrtle Beach, SC, Karen (Peter) Haen of Depew, NY and Wende (Dave) Reiner of Attica, NY.
