Car vs. goose accident reported on eastbound Thruway

A "car into goose" accident is reported on the eastbound Thruway at mile marker 393.6. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding. The driver reportedly has minor facial injuries.

Man jumps off River Street bridge following domestic incident

A man jumped off the bridge on River Street in the city after a domestic incident. He threatened to do so and was walking there when law enforcement was called to respond. City fire is also en route along with Mercy medics.

He was said to be wearing gray shorts.

UPDATE 6:09 p.m.: The man was just brought out of the water off the creek bank and put on a stretcher; he appears to be conscious and moving.

UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: The man didn't actually jump into the water; he jumped from the River Street bridge and landed on the creek bank -- not a far drop. He is being taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Alabama caller complains about kids riding on dirt bikes

A caller reports that in the area of the 6900 block of Knowlesville Road in Alabama, a bunch of kids are riding up and down the street on dirt bikes -- at least three or four -- and that they are unlicensed. Sheriff's deputies are responding.

Tree, power lines down, four utility poles damaged on Starr Road, Pavilion

A large tree toppled and downed power lines and a transformer at 11084 Starr Road, Pavilion. Wires are arcing by the side of the road. Four utility poles are damaged as well. Pavilion Fire Department is responding and National Grid is notified. A portion of the roadway is closed. The location is between Tufts and River roads.

Victim found on Little Falls Road after crash five hours ago

A one-vehicle accident happened about five hours ago on Little Falls Road and the driver is still in or with the vehicle, according to a caller to dispatch. The location is 1341 Little Falls Road, north of Fuller Road. Pembroke and Indian Falls fire departments and Mercy medics just arrived on scene.

Little Falls Road is shut down.

UPDATE 7:49 a.m.: The patient -- the driver -- is being transported to ECMC.

UPDATE 7:59 a.m.: The road is reopended. The assignment is back in service.

Dog locked in brown Ford pickup truck outside restaurant at Flying J

A dog has reportedly been locked inside a brown Ford F-350 pickup truck for 45 minutes outside the restaurant at the Flying J Travel Plaza in Pembroke.

The plaza is located at 8484 Alleghany Road. An animal control officer is responding. It's 85 degrees outside.

Pregnant female trapped in car wedged in trees at Pavilion intersection

An accident is reported in Pavilion at 1200 South Street Road, near Telephone Road.

A car is wedged in trees and a pregnant woman is unable to exit.

A second vehicle is roadside.

The accident is partially blocking traffic.

Pavilion fire and Mercy medics are responding along with State Police.

Darien ambulance is also called to respond.

One lane of traffic will be closed.

UPDATE 4:17 p.m.: The female was extricated and transported to a hospital for evaluation. The roadway is reopened. The assignment is back in service.

Turtle safely removed from traffic on River Street, Batavia

A friend of turtles removed a large snapping turtle from the roadway on River Street. An officer confirmed this for dispatch and the animal control officer was informed.

Don't know the location on River that the turtle was found.

Ruckus reported at MacArthur Drive and State Street

An altercation is reported at MacArthur Drive and State Street in the city. Batavia High School security personnel are said to be on their way over their. Batavia police are dispatched.

UPDATE 2:55 p.m.: The person accused of instigating the fight is a 15-year-old male and police are out with him now.

Two men reportedly hitting themselves, police responding

A caller reporters that two men are lying in the grass near Blondie's Sip 'n' Dip on East Main Street Road, Batavia, and they were hitting themselves.

Now they've stopped and are just lying in the grass.

A deputy has been dispatched.

City chicken 'running at large' at East Main and North Spruce

City police are asked to respond to East Main Street in the area of North Spruce Street for a chicken reportedly running at large.

UPDATE 5:57 p.m.: "Any direction of travel on the bird?" asks an officer. The response: "In the parking lot of a doctor's office on North Spruce, heading toward East Main."

Big fight reported at Brooklyn and Pearl in the city

A  caller reports a large number of people fighting in the area of Brooklyn Avenue and Pearl Street in the city. Batavia PD is responding.

UPDATE (by Howard): When patrols arrived, most of the people in the area had dispersed, several by vehicle.
